I’ve had quite a few discussions recently about the use of AI in recruitment processes.
And how should I put it… my opinion on this topic is rather extreme.
Namely, I believe that in the near future, AI will be recruiting AI, and getting a job or hiring an employee will become a sort of byproduct of the entire process.
Here’s how it might look in the future:
- AI will search for interesting and suitable job offers based on the candidate’s profile.
- AI will parse these offers and match the candidate’s CV to the specific job, then send the tailored CV.
- On the employer’s side, AI will analyze the received CVs and automatically send a message with an invitation for an online interview to the matching candidates.
- On the candidate’s side, AI will receive the message and schedule the interview for the soonest proposed time.
- At the scheduled time, the candidate’s avatar (AI powered with knowledge about the candidate and tailored to the specific position) will meet with the employer’s avatar (AI powered with knowledge about the employer and tailored to the specific position), and they will discuss everything.
- After the meeting, the employer’s AI will send a task to the candidate’s AI.
- The candidate’s AI will receive, complete, and send back the task.
- The employer’s AI will check the submitted task, and if it’s done correctly, it will send the candidate an invitation for a face-to-face or online meeting.
- The candidate’s AI will receive the invitation, check available slots in the calendar, and book a specific time for the meeting. It will then inform the candidate of the place and time of the meeting.
- The employer’s AI will book the meeting in the calendars of the relevant people within the company, and then notify them of the location and time.
- At the scheduled place and time, two humans will meet to check if there’s a culture-fit.
Of course, we’re still a bit away from reaching this level.
But let’s be honest… many elements of the recruitment process are already starting to work this way. At some point, we’ll begin to integrate these elements together.
Until we reach full automation of the entire process.
The most important skill a candidate will need in these strange new times?
The ability to program their AI in a way that allows them to successfully navigate the whole process.
